Customer Self Install (CSI) Eligible Logic [OAP-IT-Requirement-200.3.5]

  • CSI Eligible Indicator: The Open Access Provider (OAP) must include a CSI (Customer Service Indicator) Eligible indicator in the API response. This indicator must be based on real-time ONT (Optical Network Terminal) health check and inventory status.
  • Setting the CSI Eligible Indicator: If the ONT is operational (i.e., "up") and inventory exists, then the OAP must set the CSI Eligible indicator to true. If either the ONT is not operational or there is no inventory, then the CSI Eligible indicator must be set to false.
  • Significance of the CSI Eligible Indicator: This indicator is crucial to determine if the necessary equipment is available and operational for providing the required service. If the CSI Eligible indicator is true, it means that service provide can drop ship the broadband device gateway such as RG/BGW320 (etc.). If it is false, then a full tech installation is required, and an appointment must be scheduled with OAPs.
